Advice on seed sowing times by Charles Dowding with links to the RHS website.
March
Weed strike with a hoe, to disturb tiny weed seedlings in the surface. Early weed strikes mean fewer weeds through the summer.
If your beds have many weeds its best to raise your seeds undercover to prevent the weeds from overcoming the seedlings.
There is no rush to sow tomatoes, even late March is good.
Week 1 – Peas for shoots,Spring onion, lettuce, spinach, coriander, parsley, early cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, broad beans, peppers, aubergine, chillies
Week 1 Garlic if not yet sown.

Week 3. Lettuce, spinach, coriander, parsley, early cabbage, cauliflower, calabrese, peas for shoots,
Week 3 tomatoes, aubergine, peppers, chillies, peas for pods, celeriac, beetroot,
Week 3 parsnips,Onion sets, turnips, radish.

Week 4 –Lettuce, spinach, spring onion, early cabbage, Onion sets, parsnips, shallots, lettuce, spinach, coriander, celeriac, beetroot, turnips, radish.carrots, first early potatoes
