About Worthing Allotments and Gardens Association and Humber Avenue Community Allotments

HACA and WAGA are two completely separate organisations that co-exist at Humber Avenue Allotments. Plot-holders at Humber Avenue may join WAGA for an annual fee and have access to the shop.

Humber Avenue Community Allotments (HACA) was formed on the 18th August 2021 to manage the allotments at Humber Avenue on behalf of Worthing Borough Council (WBC) following a vote for self management. Operational control for all aspects of managing the 100 Allotments at Humber Avenue  commenced on the 1st October 2021.
Performance is measured against a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with WBC which is subject to a formal review every 3 months.
HACA is a Community Interest Company with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose in the community.

Worthing Allotments and Gardens Association (WAGA) run a shop on site.
The shop is generally open on Saturday and Sunday mornings only between 10.00 and 12.00. To be able to use the shop an annual membership fee is payable.
